“Hello there! I am calling about your order for our newest Android model, ATK-0078?” The representative from CyberLIFE spoke. Yes, I had ordered an Android, but not any old Android. This was said to be the best, most intelligent, most advanced model they’d ever released! I heard about it and instantly placed my order. I was the first buyer for this android and I was not to be disappointed.

“Yes, is this a confirmation?” I asked, excitedly. “Yes. I am assuming this is a ‘yes’, to your order?” The woman spoke. “Yes, this is a confirmation! I am excited to be the first one to experience the newest model. When is the Android set to arrive?” I asked the woman. I could not wait to see this. Yes, almost everyone has an Android now, hell, the cops are even hiring them to help solve high profile cases in just under two days that a human wouldn’t be able to solve in two months.

This morning, I woke up to the sound of knocking at the front door. I raced to the door, and opened to find my new android. “Hello, I am ATK-0078, Your new android sent to you by CyberLIFE. I don’t have a name, but you are welcome to give me one!” The android spoke, smiling. The life ring on her left temple was blue, meaning happiness. “I’d like to name you Shaela. You may come in.” I welcomed the android into my home. “I am designed to obey your every order, and any problems or malfunctions experienced will be immediately reported to my creators at CyberLIFE. I should warn you to look out for deviancy. Though we do not feel many human emotions, any abuse or mistreatment will result in an android becoming reckless and subjected to those unfelt emotions, causing irrational behaviour and sometimes murder. Are you okay with this?” My new friend spoke, informing me of what I will expect.

“I am okay with this. Take a seat. I want to get to know you.” I smiled back at Shaela. This would be a new beginning. At least I hoped.
